CARPD Executive Director Matthew Duarte was recently invited to testify at the State Assembly Committee Hearing on AB 334 as one of the lead witnesses on the bill.
The CARPD Board had previously voted that we take a Support position on the Bill as it would amend the Government Code and give our agencies the ability to retain the most qualified professionals to work on all phases of our public projects. This would allow our member agencies to better capture efficiencies and provide some much needed flexibility to our public contracting processes. After the hearing, the bill made it out of Committee on a unanimous vote.
